How does it work? \;
- Register with LACC: You will then receive an email fr om Conversation Starter with instructions for setting up a profil e. \;A profile includes a short bio, an #ask and an #offer, as well as tags.
- Search: Based on tags in the bio, requests and offers, participants can sear ch and filter people they would like to connect with, and send invites for one-on-one meetings. Open invitations from others will be received via em ail for review and consideration. \;
- Meeting scheduling: The tool has a smart s cheduling and calendar feature. Once an invitation is accepted, the tool w ill try to find a common meeting time slot for both participants. If impos sible, the tool will invite participants to exchange contact details inste ad. The full schedule of meetings will be displayed in the tool.
During the event: Video calls take place right inside Conversation Starter - nothing to inst all. Participants meet 1-1 during 12-minute time slots. The online event l asts 2.5 hours, enabling up to 12 meetings per participant. \;< /span>

YES - free for all participants. \;
How do I register?
Register here. You will then receive and email with instruc tions to create an account and have access to the matchmaking tool.
Do users need to download a n app? \;
No. The user does not have to download any software. The vide o calls will take place in the Conversation Starter web application. The l ink to each video call will automatically appear in Conversation Starter 3 minutes before a video call starts. Important to note: Users need to use Google Chrome or Firefox on their laptop or desktop computer\; Other brows ers or smartphones are not supported.
How many meetings can each participant organize?
Each part icipant can send 30 meeting invites. Only 12 meetings can take place durin g the event. If a meeting cannot take place because of a scheduling confli ct, users can opt in to exchange contact details (= email address).
How long is one meeting? Ho w much time is there in between meetings?
12 minutes\; this is dependent on how the user specifies their availability. \;
