 osting a Cultural Forum during Luxembourg Fest continues this summer with 
 &ldquo\;Luxembourg Culinary Traditions&rdquo\; taking place Friday, August
  9th at the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center in Grafton, Wisconsin. This year&rsqu
 o\;s theme centers around the concept of food playing an important role in
  shaping cultural identities, and is presented by Guy Thewes, the director
  of L&euml\;tzebuerg City Museum and Villa Vauban, an art museum in Luxemb
 ourg City.\nDoors open at 9:30 am for the forum, which features two sessio
 ns starting at 10 am: &ldquo\;Kuddelfleck, Gromperekichelcher a Judd mat G
 aardebounen- the Invention of Luxembourg Culinary Traditions,&rdquo\; and 
 &ldquo\;The Eating Habits of Luxembourgers in the Past.&rdquo\; A question
 -and-answer session will also take place before the forum wraps at noon.\n
 Tickets cost $30 for LACS members and $35 for non-members, which includes 
 light refreshments and educational materials, and can be purchased at: htt

  flying in from Luxembourg for this event, is a published author in the fi
 eld of urban, social and military history. He completed his doctorate at t
 he University of Luxembourg, was appointed historian by the City of Luxemb
 ourg in 1993 and curator at the city&rsquo\;s History Museum before being 
 named director of the L&euml\;tzebuerg City Museum and Villa Vauban in 201
 8.\nThe Cultural Forum is part of the overall Luxembourg Fest, which provi
 des an authentic Luxembourg cultural experience in and around Belgium, Wis
 consin August 9-11, 2024.\nSaturday, August 10, the traditional Hammelsmar
 sch (sheep march) commences at 11 am with a parade marching west down Belg
 ium&rsquo\;s Main Street to festival grounds at Community Park.  There, gu
 ests will be immersed in Luxembourgish activities including folk dancing, 
 dining on Luxembourg street food, watching or participating in the World&r
 squo\;s Largest Treipen-Eating Contest, and sipping the finest in Luxembou
 rgish beers, wines and ciders as live music plays by band, The Other Side.
   A complimentary Kid&rsquo\;s Zone will once again entertain the children
 .\nSaturday night at 5 pm is &ldquo\;Luxembourg Under the Stars,&rdquo\; a
 n al fresco culinary experience that takes place under the tent in the Gra
 nd Duke Henri Square just outside the grounds of the Luxembourg American C
 ultural Society, where guests are treated to the Luxembourg Tasting Experi
 ence and a dinner curated by Luxembourg restaurant mogul, Tom Hickey and t
 he Lowlands Group, paired with Luxembourg beer, wine and hard ciders impor
 ted by Port Washington&rsquo\;s Ansay International.\nSunday is the Luxemb
 ourg Fest Mass, which begins on Fest grounds at 10 am.  Followed by Mass w
 ill be the Luxembourg Fest pageantry, where Karen and Joe Jasper will be c
 rowned the Duke and Duchess of Fest and the Jacoby family will be honored.
   Lunch is available for purchase after the pageantry.  Magician and comed
