H.R.H. Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg and Mr. Franz Fayot, Minister of Economy, visited the company DuPont de Nemours, which has been established in Contern since 1962 and which today employs nearly 1,150 people.
The company's directors presented the Prince and the Minister with the Luxembourg production site where innovative materials are manufactured for the construction, automotive and health sectors. One of the company's flagship products, known for its resistance, is used for building insulation as well as for medical suits designed to protect personnel from viruses.
60 years after its establishment in the Grand Duchy, the company continues its development. The visit ended at the foot of the extension site which will see the factory equip itself with a new production line, which will allow the creation of 120 new jobs.
DuPont will be the 2022 recipient of the Luxembourg American Chamber of Commerce Biennial Business Award. The award ceremony and gala evening will take place on Novemver 9, 2022 at The Metropolitan Club in New York City.
