EFFECTIVE MAY 27 - REGISTER DIRECTLY HERE

Timing: May 28, 2020, from 9-11.30am PT  |  12-14.30h EST  |  1h-20.30h CET

How does it work?

  • Register with LACC: You will then receive an email from Conversation Starter with instructions for setting up a profile. A profile includes a short bio, an #ask and an #offer, as well as tags.
  • Search: Based on tags in the bio, requests and offers, participants can search and filter people they would like to connect with, and send invites for one-on-one meetings. Open invitations from others will be received via email for review and consideration.
  • Meeting scheduling: The tool has a smart scheduling and calendar feature. Once an invitation is accepted, the tool will try to find a common meeting time slot for both participants. If impossible, the tool will invite participants to exchange contact details instead. The full schedule of meetings will be displayed in the tool.
  • During the event: Video calls take place right inside Conversation Starter - nothing to install. Participants meet 1-1 during 12-minute time slots. The online event lasts 2.5 hours, enabling up to 12 meetings per participant.

Do users need to download an app?

No. The user does not have to download any software. The video calls will take place in the Conversation Starter web application.
