Art Auction

This auction features stunning examples from John James Audubon's Birds of America, as well as natural history watercolors by noted artists such as Redoute and Dietzsch. The auction will take place on June 13th, starting at 1:00PM. Among the American classics and William Bennett's famous city views, the auction will also feature a hand colored engraving of Luxembourg by Georg Braun and Frans Hogenberg (lot 140). It was published in the late 16th century and it shows the fortification walls which are not dissimilar in outline to what they look today! There is also an outstanding offering of rare books, atlases, maps and views, including a large section of both New York and American City views.
