Happy National Day! At the origin, January 23rd was the date of the birthday of H.R.H the Grand-Duchess Charlotte, an emblematic figure in the history of Luxembourg. National Day was moved to June 23rd to enjoy more of the festivities in the mild summer weather.

Numerous celebrations are held throughout the country in which the Grand Ducal family and all residents of Luxembourg, regardless of their nationality, take part in the National Day festivities.
