With a proven track record in scaling and transforming consumer brand groups, Philippe brings extensive expertise across luxury goods, fast-moving consumer goods, retail, food and beverage, travel, hospitality and a high interest in technology. He has a deep passion for retail and brands and excels at translating their essence into strategies that resonate with global customers. His insights into consumer behavior span Europe, Asia, and the US. Additionally, Philippe has substantial experience in cultural transformation, operational optimization, divestitures, and mergers and acquisitions, enabling the creation of efficient operating models and organizations that support profitable and sustainable business growth.
Starting in 2017, Philippe served as the President & CEO of Moët Hennessy in Paris a role he transitioned out in the first quarter of 2025, after leading an expansion of the portfolio of the Group and elevating the consumer focus. Previously, he was the Group Chairman & CEO of DFS Group in Hong Kong (2012–2017), where he led the development and rebranding of downtown department stores and airport retail locations in the US and Asia, while expanding operations in Europe and Asia.
During his tenure at both DFS Group and Moët Hennessy, companies majority owned by the luxury conglomerate LVMH, Philippe was also a permanent member of the Executive Committee of LVMH.
From 2006 to 2011, he was the Executive Vice President of Global Distribution at Louis Vuitton Malletier, fully owned by LVMH, following his tenure as President of Europe (2003–2005). In this role he was driving the geographical expansion and the performance of the Louis Vuitton network of stores throughout the world.
Earlier in his career, he served as President of the Tableware Division at Villeroy & Boch (1999–2002). Philippe began his professional journey at J.P. Morgan & Co., Inc. as Assistant Treasurer in 1987 and later joined The Boston Consulting Group GmbH as a Senior Consultant (1990–1992).
Philippe holds a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD and a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Liège, Belgium.
Based between Paris, France, and Luxembourg, Philippe is a passionate musician (flute, classical guitar, flamenco guitar) and a regular hiker and cyclist. He is fluent in English, French, and German, proficient in Spanish, and has a working understanding of Italian.
